Evan Simon is in his first season as the head football strength and conditioning coach at Wisconsin after spending the last four seasons as director of strength and conditioning at Utah State, where he worked with UW head coach Gary Andersen. Simon oversaw all sports at Utah State while directly developing and executing the strength and conditioning programs for football and men's basketball.
Prior to joining his time at Utah State, Simon worked with Andersen at Utah, where he held the position of associate director of strength and conditioning from 2006-09. Simon assisted with designing and implementing strength programs for the Utes' football and men's basketball teams while also developing and implementing a nutrition curriculum and assisting with workouts and rehabilitation for a number of sports.
Prior to his time at Utah, Simon was the head strength and conditioning coach at Davidson College from 2004-06, where he oversaw all strength training for 21 sports.
Prior to Davidson, Simon served as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Kentucky while earning his master's degree in exercise physiology.
Simon graduated from Frostburg University with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education. Simon and his wife, Linda, have a daughter, Abbi.
