Zach has been in place since 2008 at TCU as the Senior Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. He oversees the development of Baseball, as well as the quarterback development for Football. Alongside these priorities he also handles the development and implementation of the Strength and Conditioning Internship Program.
During baseball off-seasons, Coach Dechant trains a group of 30+ current MLB / MiLB Frogs. The pro Frogs spend 4 months back on campus training for the upcoming season.
Previous experience to TCU has included two seasons with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the University of Wyoming, two years at Missouri State University, as well as time spent with the University of Washington as an intern.
Zach graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Wellness from Missouri State University in 2003. He is certified through the CSCCa, NSCA, FMS-1 and the USAW.

Todd Hamer, a 20-year veteran in the collegiate strength and conditioning field, has been named Director of Strength and Conditioning at George Washington University, Director of Athletics and Recreation Tanya Vogel announced on Aug. 20.
Hamer comes to GW after spending the last 12 years at Robert Morris University, where he was responsible for training and overseeing student-athletes in more than 20 sports as the Director of Strength and Conditioning.
“Todd fully embraces and embodies our department’s mission and values,” said Director of Athletics and Recreation Tanya Vogel. “His extensive background aligns perfectly with Associate Athletics Director Chris Hennelly. The two will work together to continue our steadfast commitment to student-athlete health and well-being while bolstering our efforts to improve human performance.”
Prior to his stint at Robert Morris, Hamer was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at George Mason (2004-07). That was preceded by strength and conditioning positions with Marist College, The Citadel and VCU.
"I am excited and honored to be named director of strength and conditioning at George Washington University,” said Hamer. “Under Tanya's leadership, the athletic department will achieve great success, and I can't wait to become a part of the process of improving our student-athletes. I am also humbled to join the small fraternity of strength coaches who have worked at GW. I hope to continue the success they have had and build upon the work that has already been done."
Hamer earned his bachelor of science in exercise science at Penn State University in 1999, and completed a masters in sports leadership at VCU in 2002. He is certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction, while also holding a membership with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. A nominee for the NSCA 2018 Strength Coach of the Year, Hamer is also a regular contributor to training websites and magazines.

Aaron Wellman is in his third season as the Giants’ strength and conditioning coach and third in the NFL following a 20-year career at the Division I collegiate level.
When he arrived in 2016, Wellman significantly changed the Giants’ offseason and in-season training regimens, and the result was a substantial decrease in the number of season-ending injuries suffered by Giants players.
Prior to joining the Giants, Wellman was an assistant director of strength and conditioning coach for the University of Notre Dame in 2015.
Wellman spent the previous four years (2011-14) as the director of strength and conditioning at the University of Michigan. He was responsible for the yearly programming of strength, speed and football-specific conditioning. Wellman performed movement screenings to evaluate mobility and stability deficits along with subsequent programs to mitigate individual injury risk. He implemented athlete-monitoring systems including GPS and neuromuscular fatigue assessments.
Prior to his tenure at Michigan, Wellman held similar director positions at San Diego State University (2009- 11) and Ball State University (2004-09).
Wellman began his strength and conditioning career as a graduate assistant at Indiana University (1996- 98). He then spent three years as a full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Hoosiers, and was primarily involved with the football, baseball and softball teams, as well as developing individual nutrition programs for student-athletes.
Wellman also worked for three years at Michigan State University (2001-03). He was involved with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for football and assisted with men’s and women’s basketball and ice hockey.
Wellman is a registered master strength and con- ditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA), a certified strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a specialist in performance nutrition by the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
A native of Ligonier, Indiana, Wellman was a four- year member of the Manchester (Ind.) University football team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 1996. Wellman added separate master’s degrees from Indiana University in applied sport science (1998) and nutrition science (2009). In May 2018, he received a doctorate from Bond University (Queensland, Australia), Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine.
Wellman and his wife, Shellie, have a son, Grant, and a daughter, Grace.

Aaron Feld joined the Ducks in January 2018 as the football strength and conditioning coordinator. Feld came to Oregon from the University of Georgia, where he spent the previous three years as the assistant director of strength and conditioning while working with the Bulldogs’ football program.
Before working at Georgia, Feld was the head strength coach at the University of North Alabama and a volunteer strength coach at the University of Alabama, where he worked with Cristobal. Feld is a graduate of Mississippi State University and holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
He began his career at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he worked with both the football and women’s basketball programs.

Named the first ever Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at CSU-Pueblo in 2009, Hedrick boasts a wealth of experience that CSU-Pueblo student-athletes soak up like a sponge. A former strength and conditioning coach at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for three years, Hedrick spent 12 years at the United States Air Force Academy – three as an assistant strength and conditioning coach before moving into the head strength coach role, a position he held for nine years.
At the Air Force Academy, he was personally responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for football and volleyball while overseeing the entire strength and conditioning program.
Most recently, Hedrick was at the National Strength and Conditioning Association headquarters in Colorado Springs, where he first served as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, then into the education department as the NSCA Education Coordinator until 2009.
During his career Hedrick has worked with a variety of athletes, from elementary school age athletes to athletes at the professional and Olympic level, including athletes who have medaled in the Olympic games (Bonnie Blair, speed skating and Matt Ghaffari, Greco-Roman Wrestling).
A frequent writer, Hedrick has been published over 100 times in a variety of publications on a variety of topics related to strength and conditioning and has published a book on strength and conditioning for football along with numerous DVD’s on a variety of topics related to strength and conditioning. In addition, Hedrick has spoken at numerous conferences and clinics, both nationally and internationally, including Guatemala, Japan, Australia, and China.
In 2003, Hedrick was selected by his peers as the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year.
Hedrick, a graduate of Cal State-Chico in 1989, who earned his Master’s from Cal State-Fresno, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist of Distinction (CSCS*D) a Fellow of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (FNSCA) and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC). He and his wife Stephanie reside in Pueblo and have two children, Lindsey and Brandon.
In addition to coaching, Hedrick also competes in the sport of weightlifting and finished third at the National Masters Weightlifting Championships in 2009.
