Coach Steve Rassel is entering his seventh year as the Head Coach for Strength & Conditioning at Webber International University. Since his arrival in 2009, the Webber Athletic Department has experienced a significant reduction in injuries (namely those requiring surgical repair), as well as a substantial improvement in performance. Coach Rassel works with all 25 Warrior sports. Prior to coaching at Webber, Coach Rassel began his coaching career with the Boston Red Sox, working under Pat Sandora and Dave Page with both the Major League and Minor League players. He then served as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Daytona Cubs and was named the Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Florida State League All-Star Game.

Coach Garcia is a graduate of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, CA, where he won ALL-WCAL honors as an offensive guard and shot putter in track and field. Coach Garcia continued his football and track career at San Jose City College where he started at linebacker and was a state finalist in the shot put. He then accepted a track scholarship to California State University, Northridge (CSUN). While at CSUN, Coach Garcia earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Kinesiology and was a two-time Big Sky champion in the shot put. Coach Garcia teaches Physical Education, coaches the throwing events for track and field, and is the Strength and Conditioning coach.
